HK swimmers hoping to make a splash in Tokyo

The Tokyo Games – postponed for a year because of the Covid-19 pandemic – finally get underway on Friday.

The year-long delay has been both a physical and mental challenge for Hong Kong’s athletes, but it’s also allowed some of the city’s brightest medal hopes to get extra prepared and hit a rich vein of form going into the summer games.

Siobhan Haughey and Ian Ho, two of Hong Kong’s nine-strong swimming contingent that are hoping to make a splash in Tokyo, speak to RTHK’s Wong Yin-ting about gearing up for the Games during a pandemic and what they’re hoping to achieve.
