HK teenager makes historic move to US Open finals

Hong Kong tennis player Coleman Wong has advanced to the finals of the US Open Boys’ Doubles, in a first for the SAR.

The 17-year-old and his French partner Max Westphal took the lead against their opponents – American Bruno Kuzuhara and Mili Poljicak from Croatia.

But their rivals took the second set before the French-Hong Kong pair came rallying back to win the match 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 in New York on Friday night local time.

They will next face eighth-seeded Viacheslav Bielinskyi from Ukraine and Bulgarian Petr Nesterov for the championship.
