The NBA-leading Utah Jazz rained down a franchise-record 28 three pointers as they calmed the Charlotte Hornets, 132-110.

The Jazz started the fourth quarter by making six straight from deep to blow the game open.

Reserve forward George Niang hit all seven of his triples for 21 points, while Jordan Clarkson also made seven of 10 from deep off the bench. Donavan Mitchell led all scorers with 23 as the Jazz improved to 25-6.

The Hornets lost star forward Gordon Hayward to a right hand injury. He scored 21 before taking a hard fall in the fourth quarter.

Elsewhere, Devin Booker scored 34 points, Deandre Ayton added 19 and the Phoenix Suns kept rolling with a 132-100 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Phoenix has won nine of its past 10 games and put this one away late in the third quarter. Booker made a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining and then — following a quick Portland turnover — Cam Johnson hit another 3 at the buzzer to give the Suns a 100-71 lead.

The 32-point win was the Suns’ largest margin of victory this season.

Portland has lost two straight following a six-game winning streak. The Suns improved to 20-10 on the season while the Trail Blazers fell to 18-12.

Booker poured in points all game, scoring 17 as the Suns pushed ahead 32-26 in the first quarter. The sixth-year guard was up to 22 points by halftime, including an off-balance 17-footer at the buzzer that gave Phoenix a 63-54 advantage.

In Chicago, Coby White scored 24 points and the Bulls used a big third quarter to pull away for a 120-100 win over the short-handed Houston Rockets.

Zach LaVine scored 14 of Chicago’s 46 third-quarter points, finishing with 21, as the Bulls outscored the Rockets by 20 points in the quarter to break open a tight game.

“He’s an efficient scorer because he scores not taking a lot of shots,” coach Billy Donovan said of LaVine, who made 4 of 6 from long distance.

Houston’s John Wall made only four of 14 field goal attempts for 15 points, as the Rockets lost their eighth consecutive game. (AP)
